BEST POACHED PEARS IN MULLED WINE
This is my favorite recipe to make, super easy and delicious. Neither prep nor cuttings, just cover in red wine and make your house smells with the warm aromatic spiced red wine, which put the whole family in the holidays spirits.
You will definitely impress your guests with this fancy 3 Michelin star dish.
INGREDIENTS:
Red wine
1 cinnamon stick
4 all spices
Anise star
4 cloves
2 firm pears
Sugar to taste (optional)
Pinch of Grated nutmeg
STEPS:
In deep saucepan, Cover the pear with red wine, add the cinnamon, all spice, anise star, grated nutmeg, cloves and sugar and poach until tender all the way through.
Remove the pears from the saucepan and let them cool
Boil the red wine until it has been reduced to a half, or until getting a dense syrupy liquid.
