BEST SAUTÉED OKRA WITH CHERRY TOMATOES
Here is a flavorful side dish to make for anyone who loves okra, perfect partner with your fish, chicken or pork.
INGREDIENTS:
½ pound okra
½ pound cherry tomatoes sliced in haves
½ red onion thinly sliced
2 cloves of crushed garlic
3-tablespoon olive oil
Salt and freshly ground pepper
STEPS:
Wash the okra very well, let dry and trim off and discard the stem ends.
In non-stick pan over medium high heat, add the olive oil when hot, add the crushed garlic and cook for about 1 minute, then add the okra and start sautéing until tender and brown about 10 minutes, remember to shake the pan frequently.
Next add the cherry tomatoes, the sliced onion and sauté for another 5 minutes.
Season with salt and freshly black pepper to taste and a drizzle of olive oil.
Serve hot.
