CLASSIC ROASTED GARLIC HUMMUS WITH POMEGRANATE

This chickpeas based recipes is one of the most popular dish in the Middle Eastern cuisine. For a classic Hummus the main ingredients are always chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, cumin and garlic but it can be flavored with any desired spices or other ingredients.

In this recipe, choosing roasted garlic gives the hummus a unique flavor.

Serve with sliced pita bread or with your favorite chips.

INGREDIENTS:

Serve 2-3 people

7 oz. can of chickpeas

1 tablespoon of tahini

2 tablespoons of lemon juice

1 teaspoon of ground cumin 

4 cloves of roasted garlic

4 tablespoon of olive oil

Pomegranate seeds

Salt to taste

Water if needed

STEPS:

In a food processor or blender, add all the ingredients but olive oil and start pulsing, then slowly pour the olive oil until the desired consistency.

Add the pomegranate seeds.

Check the seasonings and serve at room temperature.
