KALE SALAD WITH MAPLE GLAZED APPLE SALAD

My weekly share contains Kale and Apple, in my opinion two ingredients that go together like bread and butter. Since we are in mid September, This Kale salad has a fall flavor with maple glazed apple and walnuts.

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 pound of fresh Kale

1 apple diced

1/3-pound cherry tomatoes

Pine nuts/ walnuts/ almonds

1/4 butter

1 tbsp Maple Syrup

1/4 cup Olive oil

1/4 cup Red wine vinegar

Salt pepper

STEPS:

Wash sliced Kale very well under cold water, drain in spinner.

Sautéed the cherry tomatoes in olive oil for about 2 minutes.

In buttered pan, sautéed the diced apple about 3 minutes then add the maple syrup, season with salt and pepper.

For the dressing: combine olive oil, red wine vinegar salt and pepper whisk very well.

In a Bowl, toss the kale with pine nuts, walnuts, almonds and the dressing add the cherry vinegar and the diced apple.

Notes: You can use honey instead for maple syrup.
