INGREDIENTS:
About 4 Chicken Drumsticks
1/2 Pound of Pearled onion
1 lemon thinly sliced
Herbs such as bay leaf, thyme sage and tarragon.
Spices: Salt, Black Pepper to taste
Pinch of Ground Ginger and Turmeric
Olive Oil and about 1 cup of Water
STEPS:
Yield: serves 4
In hot iron skillet, drizzle some olive oil and start searing the chicken. Put the chicken aside and add the pearled onion to be sautéed ( to add Color).Then Put back the chicken, add the herbs, the spices and the sliced lemon and a cup of water and cook in medium low heat for about 15 to 20 minutes by checking from time to time. The chicken should be cooked quickly since it has been seared.
Notes: You can use sliced lime instead of Lemon. Make sure not to overcook the chicken since we seared it in the beginning.
You can use two kinds of herbs instead of four.
