LOBSTER BOIL
August or Lobster season as I called it, which means it is time to enjoy the perfect lobster roll with affordable price.
It is the time when the prices are sharply dropped for the consumers and this delicacy presented on the table more often.
I always look for large lobsters from Maine and I like to buy them live and cook them home because I know I am getting the freshest lobsters available and second, I will have many different options of cooking.
INGREDIENTS:
3 Maine lobsters( about 4 pounds)
1/2 pound fingerling potatoes
2 corn ears
1 lemon quartered (1/2 for service)
Salt
4 Sprigs of thyme
STEPS:
In large stockpot , add the fingerling potatoes, the corn ears, sprigs of thyme, lemon and pinch of salt, cover with water about 1 inch of water, then top with the lobsters. Cover and steam until lobster shells are bright red about 15 to 17 minutes.
Serve lobster, potato and corn with melted salted butter and chives.
