DUTCH BABY PANCAKE RECIPE

This cast iron pan oven-baked pancake will impress your brunch guest. You can make it sweet or savory variations as you can add many different types of fruit, nuts, chocolate, cheese, eggs or bacon…

INGREDIENTS:

3 eggs

1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup milk

1 tablespoon sugar

Pinch of nutmeg

3 tablespoons butter

Confectioners sugar, jam, syrup 

STEPS:

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

In a blender, combine eggs, flour, milk, sugar and nutmeg and blend until smooth.

Place butter in cast iron pan and place it in the oven until butter is melted, then add the batter to the pan and  return to the oven.

Bake for about 20 minutes or until the pancake is puffed and golden brown. 

Sprinkle the icing sugar over the dutch baby cut into slices.
