TRY THIS EASY HOMEMADE CORNED BEEF FOR ST. PATRICK’S DAY

It is that time of the year when we celebrate St. Patrick Day with recipes such as corned beef and cabbage.

Making traditional homemade corned beef is not as hard as you may think, with this easy recipe you will start making your own corned beef from now on to please friends and family.

INGREDIENTS:

2 to 3-pound Brisket

Pickling Spices:

1/2 tablespoon all spice, peppercorn, mustard seeds, cloves, coriander, red pepper flakes,

1 bay leaf

Water as needed

STEPS:

Put the brisket in large pot and cover it with water. Add the pickling spices and bring to a boil over high heat, then turn the heat to low so liquid is barely simmering.

Cover and let cook until it is fully tender, you should be able to pierce the brisket with a fork very easily in about 3 hours, adding water along the way if needed to cover the brisket.

Add the potatoes and the carrots and cook until almost tender then add the cabbage and cook for about 15 minutes.
